Empresas Gasco aims to contribute to the economic and social development of the countries in which it operates, through the provision of quality energy solutions that are safe and in harmony with the environment.

In its business vision, the company incorporates ethical, environmental and social criteria that guide its strategic decisions and seek to meet the needs of its different stakeholders.

Gasco’s commitment to the community is reflected in a social responsibility policy focused on:

Lake Theater

Since 2011, we have supported the Fundación Teatro del Lago in Frutillar, through contributions that help to financing the workshops and artistic education activities of the Escuela de las Artes-Casa Richter, in which adults, children and youth from the south region of our country participate.

Sala Gasco

Created in 2001, the Galeria de Arte Contemporaneo of Gasco  is the main cultural project of the Fundación Gasco and presents five exhibitions every year, which are visited free of charge by nearly 10,000 spectators. Its educational program also welcomes school children, senior citizens and groups with special educational needs.

Since 2008, the Fundación Gasco promotes the education of the community in the responsible use of all energy resources, through this educational program and its portal www.gascoeduca.cl

Fútbol Más

Since its origin in 2008, Gasco has maintained an alliance with this organization that promotes resilience in children and adolescents in situations of social vulnerability, through psycho-sports workshops that take place in the heart of neighborhoods.

We support the “Mujer Emprende” personal improvement program, through which women from different communities participate in weekly training workshops and receive training in micro enterprise management.

Mujer Impacta

We support the “Mujer Impacta” Award: A history a region, which will be delivered for the first time in Araucanía. This contest will make visible the stories of women who have helped people in their community in a disinterested way.

Cruz de Piedra

Cruz de Piedra is a territory of 97,000 hectares, located in the Commune of San José de Maipo and of great value for the biodiversity of the Metropolitan Region. In this property Empresas Gasco carries out a conservation project based on multiple use of the territory, which includes grassland management, livestock and irrigation, monitoring of guanacos, pumas and birds and propagation of native plant species. This work is carried out through research and cooperation agreements with academic institutions and public bodies.

In 1997, the GasAndes gas pipeline, built to transport natural gas from Argentina to the central zone of Chile, was inaugurated within Cruz de Piedra.
